Family conversations, without a language in the middle

A grandmother in Porto, a grandson in Zürich, and a language between them. Put a phone on the table, or hold one up on a call, and each of them reads and hears the other in their own language.

Estás a comer bem, meu querido? Pareces mais magro.
Isst du auch gut, mein Lieber? Du siehst dünner aus.

Ich esse gut, Oma, versprochen. Ich habe sogar dein Rezept probiert.
Estou a comer bem, avó, prometo. Até experimentei a tua receita.

Então vem cá no Natal e cozinhas para mim.
Dann komm an Weihnachten her und koch für mich.

A conversation, not a typing exercise

Nobody dictates into a phone and passes it across the table. All Voices listens to the conversation, works out the two languages by itself, and translates both directions while people simply talk. Pauses, interruptions and switching topics are fine; that is what conversations do.

Hear it, not just read it

For a relative who would rather listen than read, tap any line and the translation is spoken out loud. You can optionally set up your own voice, so what your grandmother hears sounds like you rather than like a machine.

Made to be given

All Voices is bought as a gift more often than most software. You pay once, they get a personal link by email with your name and a note on it; one tap and they are signed in, no password, no account form, no subscription that quietly renews. For a parent about to travel, a relative moving abroad, or the grandparent who has stories nobody in the family can follow any more.

The conversations keep

Each session is saved with its audio. The call where she explained the recipe, or told the story of how the family came to be where it is, can be played back line by line, in her voice, with the translation under it.
