English-Korean, live, in Hangul and English
In a Korean company with international staff, the meeting often runs on whoever speaks the other language best. All Voices takes that job, in both directions, while people talk.
Speech levels live in the verb
Korean marks how formal a sentence is in its verb endings: the polite -요 form, the deferential -습니다 form, and plain speech between friends. English marks none of this. A translation from English into Korean has to choose a level, and All Voices chooses from the context of the conversation; there is no setting to force one. The live transcript is for understanding the meeting; before you send a translated line to a senior client, read the ending again.
Hangul and English in one transcript
Each line stays in the script in which it was spoken: Korean in Hangul, English in Latin letters, with the translation underneath. Korean business speech is full of English words written in Hangul, such as 미팅 for a meeting or 피드백 for feedback, and English product names inside Korean sentences. All Voices identifies the language of each line as it is spoken. We have measured sentences that switch language halfway for German, Chinese and English, not yet for Korean, so check the transcript the first time your team mixes the two.
Where this pair shows up
Korean manufacturers and their foreign suppliers, international staff in Seoul offices, students and researchers at Korean universities, and families in which the grandparents speak Korean and the grandchildren grew up with English. Korean is one of the languages marked as supported in All Voices, and the saved meeting keeps every line with its audio, so a name or a number can be replayed and checked.
Questions people ask
Can All Voices translate between Korean and English live?
Yes. When both languages are spoken, it interprets both directions automatically and labels every speaker. Lines stay in Hangul or English as spoken, with the translation underneath.
Which speech level does the Korean translation use?
It chooses from the context of the conversation. There is no setting for the level, so check endings in lines you send to someone senior.
Does it work for a lecture in Korean?
Yes. One phone follows the lecturer and shows each sentence in English (or another language you read), with the Korean original underneath, and the lecture is saved as a meeting for revision.
Two directions, one device
When both English and Korean are being spoken, All Voices pairs them automatically and interprets both ways; when only one side needs translating, every line is rendered into the language you choose. Either way there is one transcript, with speakers labelled, audio kept, and a summary written when you stop. The first 30 minutes are free, without a card.
